Panelite Corporation is the leader in trim and glamour accessories for the heavy trucking
industry. They attend many trade shows with their 40’ x 40’ exhibit. Four of BCD’s touch-
screen offline kiosks systems are located in the corner columns of the central pavillion.
Each system includes a Pentium computer running a custom Internet browser from BCD.
BCD’s special Internet spider downloaded the material from www.panelite.com for the display shortly before the trade show. This method enables Panelite to keep their product catalog current and always available for display. BCD provided all of the materials to Panelite on CD-ROM for easy updates.
The one special hardware item is the built-in VGA-to-TV graphics system which permits simultaneous display of the web site on the 20” TV monitor above the touch screen. |
